From Sneak Peeks to Prints: What Happens After Your Paris Photoshoot

You planned the outfits, braved the early alarm, took on Paris like a pro, and absolutely owned your photoshoot!

Now the session’s wrapped, your cheeks might still hurt from smiling, and you’re probably wondering, “So, what happens next?”

That little post-session curiosity is totally normal. The good news is that everything from here on out is designed to be easy, exciting, and worthy of the memories we just created!

In this post, I’ll walk you through the next steps: from when to expect sneak peeks to how to access your final gallery to what to do with all those gorgeous images once they’re in your hands. Everything all laid out so you can soak up the rest of your Paris adventure knowing everything behind the scenes is taken care of for you!!

Let’s take a look at what’s ahead…

Step 1: Sneak Peeks & Social Shares

You won’t be left hanging.

Within a few days of your session, I’ll send you a little preview to hold you over until the full gallery is ready. Think of it like a mini highlight reel, a handful of hand-edited favorites that’ll give you all the feels and make it very hard not to refresh your inbox every five minutes.

Proposal session: You’ll have your sneak peek within 48 hours, often sooner. I know you’ve got people to tell and moments to relive, and I want you to have something special to share right away.

Other sessions: I aim to get those previews to you within three days, max. I’ll always prioritize quality over speed, but I also know how exciting it is to see those first few photos.

Once your sneak peek hits your inbox, feel free to gush, post, share, tag (@rachael_laporte), and relive the magic. Instagram loves a sunrise Eiffel Tower shot, just saying…

And hey, if you’re not quite ready to share them with the world, that’s okay too. Your gallery, your timeline!

Step 2: Selecting & Editing Your Final Images

Let’s talk about what’s happening while you’re out sipping café crèmes and strolling the Seine.

After we wrap up your session, I head straight into backup mode (your photos are precious, and I treat them that way). Then I dive into the culling process, sorting through every shot to find the ones where the light hits just right, your smiles are perfect, and you shine!

Each image you receive is hand-edited with my signature style: soft, clean, true-to-life, and designed to feel just like your very best Paris day. 

I don’t believe in heavy retouching or airbrushed perfection. I don’t use Photoshop to change bodies or erase what makes you you. What I do is fine-tune, brighten, color-correct, and lovingly polish each frame until it feels ready to hang on your wall (or set as your lock screen for the next six months).

And while I do take my time to make sure everything looks its best, I also know you’re eager to see the full story. That’s why your complete gallery will land in your inbox within three weeks of your session date (often sooner).

So go ahead and enjoy the rest of your trip and know that your photos are in good hands!

Step 3: Receiving Your Gallery

The moment you’ve been waiting for is here…

When your full gallery is ready, you’ll get an email straight to your inbox, complete with a link to your private online gallery. Basically, it’s your own private website with all of my favorite pictures from your fabulous Parisian photoshoot!

You have access to two sizes to download:
– High-res downloads for printing, framing, and preserving your favorites for years to come.
– Mobile-friendly versions for easy sharing, posting, and showing off to literally everyone you know.

And yes, you can download every single one. These memories are yours to keep, revisit, and relive as often as you’d like.

Your gallery includes step-by-step instructions on how to navigate, download, share, and save your images. It’s all super intuitive, but if anything feels confusing, I’m just an email (or text!) away.

Are you thinking about printing? You’ll have access to my professional print lab directly through the gallery. These aren’t your run-of-the-mill pharmacy prints, think crisp detail, rich colors, and paper options you’ll actually want to touch. Whether you go for glossy favorites or fine art museum-quality paper, the result is something you’ll be proud to frame, gift, or pass down someday!

Do you already have a favorite printer? No problem. You’re not required to print with me; you’re welcome to use your high-res files wherever you prefer. But if you’re looking for quality that does your photos justice, the option is right there waiting…

Step 4: Prints, Albums & Keepsakes

Now that you’ve got a gallery full of gorgeousness, let’s talk about bringing those moments to life, off the screen and into your real world.

Your photos weren’t meant to live their whole lives in a downloads folder! 

They’re meant to be printed, displayed, and cherished on your walls, your shelves, and in your hands. Whether it’s a framed print on the wall, a stack of favorites in a keepsake box, or a custom album you pull out every anniversary, there’s something special about turning digital memories into tangible treasures!

The good news is that you don’t have to hunt for a quality printer or guess at paper types! Through your gallery, you’ll have access to my professional print lab!

Because I know not everyone has a photographer-approved printer just lying around and CVS and Costco aren’t exactly known for heirloom quality…
